Jardin Georges Delaselle

Île-de-Batz

This garden has the most unusual environment and story!

Incredible space where Nature meets humanity. Created at the beginning of the 20th century by a Parisian insurer, passionate about botany. Today the garden is owned by the “Conservatoire du Littoral” and “Haut- Léon Communauté”. It is home to a rich collection of exotic plant species, a Bronze Age necropolis and a 17th-century calvary. The wild exuberance contrasts with the surrounding marine landscape. Species from America, Australia, Africa and Asia live together in this insular oasis.
